Hematology

Hematology tests detect and monitor all blood diseases, especially hematologic malignancies, using state-of-the-art automated analysers

Immunology – Hormonology

Serological tests for the detection of serological indicators in the body with the help of state-of-the-art analyzers, tests for the control of indicators of osteoporosis, hypertension, thyroid, adrenal glands, autoimmune diseases, determination of complement factors, but also allergy testing for various allergens.

In addition to the hormonal control, the concentration of various cancer markers is also measured (PSA, free PSA, CEA, CA19-9, CA15-3, CA125, a-FP κ.α.) in the blood.

Biochemical

Biochemical tests aim to detect malfunctions of the solid organs of the body, as well as metabolic disorders. In addition, they measure substances and biochemical factors for the purpose of diagnosing and treating diseases. In particular, blood tests are performed in our laboratories for the functional control of liver (SGOT, SGPT, g-gt, bilirubin, ALP, albumin), renal (urea, creatinine, uric acid), pancreatic (serum and urine amylase) and bone function ( calcium, phosphorus, magnesium), lipid control (cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides), iron metabolism control (iron, transferrin, TIBC), as well as determination of biological fluid electrolytes, vitamins, acute phase proteins and cardiac markers. State-of-the-art analysers are used to perform the tests.

Microbiology

Direct microscopic examinations (general urine, general and fecal parasitology), cultures of various biological fluids in special nutrient materials, identification of the responsible microorganism, but also an antibiotic sensitivity test (antibiogram) are the microbiological tests carried out by the Clinic. Also performs blood cultures for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria and fungi from samples from patients with bacteremia/septicemia.

Molecular Biology

Examinations with molecular methods for the detection and analysis of the genetic material of viruses (COVID-19, HBV, HCV), which are necessary in the diagnosis and monitoring of viral infections, such as SARS – CoV-2, as well as hepatitis B and C.
